Visitors to this summer’s Bournemouth Air Festival will again be treated to some spectacular displays from the world famous Red Arrows this year.
The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will be appearing on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 August at the Bournemouth seafront event.
Red 1, Squadron Leader Ben Murphy, Team Leader and Officer Commanding the Red Arrows, says: “We are delighted to be displaying at the Bournemouth Air Festival once again. We have a long association with the town and all of us are really looking forward to coming back and performing in a place where we are always so warmly welcomed.”
During this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival, visitors to the event will be able to meet the Red Arrows pilots, as well as some of the engineers and support team known as the Blues, at the Red Arrows Village along the seafront. Here they will be able to find out what it takes to keep the Team in the air and learn more about what it’s like to be part of the Royal Air Force.
The Red Arrows’ distinctive red and white Hawk aircraft will be operating out of Bournemouth Airport on the Friday and Saturday of the show. On Sunday the Team will be operating from RAF Brize Norton as they are carrying out another display later that day at the British Touring Car Championships at Silverstone.
