Previously, the display aircraft were used for crop-spraying.

They may well be the most daring performers involved in this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival.  While the other display teams perform dazzling moves from the cosy confines of a cockpit, the Breitling Wingwalkers prefer to show off their manoeuvres strapped to the wing of a biplane travelling at 150mph!

The twin Boeing Stearman biplanes, decked out in Breitling’s striking orange livery, will hurtle over the seafront as the two wingwalkers perform a series of gasp-inducing acrobatic moves.  At one remarkable point during the display, the girls leave the safety of their harness and sit on the leading edge of the wing, directly above the propeller, while travelling at 100mph.
