DID YOU KNOW...

More Hurricanes took part in the Battle of Britain than Spitfires.

The Hurricane is one of the classic fighters of all time.  With its counterpart, the Supermarine Spitfire, the Hurricane’s fame grew during the Second World War, particularly during the summer and autumn of 1940 when the Battle of Britain raged over the skies of Southern England.

The Hurricane was at the forefront of Britain’s defences during 1939/1940 and served operationally on every day throughout the hostilities.
